The Sarah Palin Brand: She’s just so cute and adorable, doggone it!
Sarah Palin winks, blows kisses, gives a “shout out” to the third graders back home who are getting extra credit, and drops the “G” off the end her words. She’s just so cute and folksy.
She actually says things like “Say it ain’t so, Joe!” and “Doggone it” and “You betcha.” And, she sounds a lot like Frances McDormand playing Marge Gunderson in Fargo. Has she always spoken like this? Or is she just trying to play up her down-home brand appeal?
Palin is certainly creating her own personality brand, but it’s not working with most people. Recent polls show that skepticism of Palin continues to grow.
Though she initially transformed the race with her energizing presence and a fiery convention speech, Palin is now a much less positive force: Six in 10 voters see her as lacking the experience to be an effective president, and a third are now less likely to vote for McCain because of her.

Maybe folksy isn’t the brand that sells for this election…

With all great branding, it needs to be authentic. The American people are growing tired of her because her brand stands for nothing and has no depth. It is like back in the day buying a pair of shoes from Payless that look good but feel terrible. By the way, here is a website I found that shares all the Sarah Palin Pictures and supports Barack Obama!

“Well, Gee Mr. Putin, you’ve just gotta stop invadin’ those cute little neighbering countries that are yur neighbers, and wow those crazy Koreans with those doggone nucyular weapons, don’t point that thing at me, and well, we darn well better be lookin’ fur the future, doncha think?”
The marketing message is that in Summit meeting this woman would be ill prepared to speak to anyone who actually knows what they are doing. Unless the Summit is a PTA meeting in her own home town.
No wonder the THINKING Americans aren’t buying it.

Well, it’s not very ‘Vice Presidential’. Part of being who you are is also knowing what is appropriate and when. I agree, with you. Think her slang and mannerisms maybe well suited as a local/state public official (which Atlanta has more people in it than Alaska), but don’t not to sure she would impress world leaders.
